Who We Are

Founded almost 20 years ago, Iowa Gun Owners has become a powerhouse for freedom. We’ve mobilized grassroots gun owners across Iowa leading to the passage of laws like Shall Issue, Stand-Your-Ground Law, Constitutional Carry and more. And our members flipped the legislature from blue to red, reshaping Iowa forever.

What We Believe

Z
We believe private property is a God-given, Constitutionally protected right—not a privilege to be granted or revoked by the shifting whims of private corporations or overreaching government officials. If we lose the land, we lose the foundation of our freedom.
Z
Governance works best closest to the people. We prioritize decisions made in local communities—not by the heavy hand of state or federal government. We trust township boards, county commissioners, and rural citizens more than corporate lobbyists or career politicians in Washington, D.C.
Z
We stand with the multi-generational family farms and ranches that built this country. These families pour blood, sweat, and sacrifice into their livelihoods. We fight to keep them on the land by opposing forced takings through eminent domain for private gain, burdensome regulations, over-taxation, and economic threats to their survival.
Z
Producers deserve a level playing field—not manipulated markets controlled by monopolies or foreign-backed entities. We fight for transparency, accountability, and policies that ensure producers—not middlemen—set the value of American agriculture.
Z

Rural America thrives when families can build businesses, teach real-life skills, and create jobs on Main Street without red tape or overreach. We support innovators and risk-takers through true free-market capitalism, not political market manipulation that funnels taxpayers’ dollars to the donor class.

Z
We honor agriculture as a way of life—a cherished tradition carried by families for generations. We proudly promote the work ethic, values, and stewardship of those who feed, fuel, and clothe the world. With less than 2% of Americans in production agriculture, we represent families too often ignored and overlooked.
Z
A nation that cannot feed itself cannot defend itself. We must prioritize domestic food production and protect the land, water, and resources that secure America’s sovereignty and future.

Take Action

From the Director…

I’ve spent my life on the land — as the daughter of a rancher, the wife of a rancher, and a mother of four raising the next generation with dirt under their boots and responsibility on their shoulders. I know firsthand that property rights are not theoretical. They are personal. They determine whether families can stay on the land, pass something on, and live free from coercion by distant power.

American Land & Legacy exists for one reason – to defend your God-given, Constitutionally-protected property rights, for our kids and grandkids.

We are here to hold lawmakers accountable for the votes they take when the cameras are off and the lobbyists are in the room. We are here to educate voters on what bills actually do — not how they’re branded, spun, or sold by political insiders. And we are here to make sure landowners are never caught flat-footed again by legislation that threatens their rights, their livelihoods, or their legacy.

Too often, bad policy advances quietly, buried in technical language and rushed through under the guise of “progress.” We refuse to let that happen. We will shine light on the details, name the consequences, and tell the truth — plainly and without apology.

This work isn’t comfortable, and it isn’t seasonal. But freedom never is.

At American Land & Legacy, we are committed to vigilance, education, and action — so the land remains in the hands of those who steward it, now and for generations to come.

God bless!
