For years, landowners in our state have fought long and hard to safeguard our God-given, Constitutionally-protected property rights.
Because of that work — your work — South Dakota is now leading the nation. With the passage of HB1052, officially eliminating eminent domain for carbon pipelines, we took a powerful stand for landowners and local control, and we stood firm against government-backed overreach and the abusive practices of a private, out-of-state, foreign-backed company.
But let me be clear: the fight is not over.
There are still real threats to private property, and we must make sure the abuse and intimidation landowners endured at the hands of predatory companies and corrupt politicians never happens again — not here, not anywhere.
That’s why I’m asking you to join us January 12 at noon in the Capitol Rotunda in Pierre for the South Dakota Property Rights Rally.
We’ll hear from strong voices who understand the issue and stand strong for property rights — including Senator Mark Lapka, Attorney General Marty Jackley, Speaker Pro Tem Karla Lems, Rep. Liz May, Charles & Heather Maude, and Jared Bossly.
- If you believe landowners deserve a seat at the table…
- If you believe that “No, thank you,” is a full sentence…
- If you believe in fighting for family farms & ranches…
- If you believe local control and community voices matter…
- If you believe South Dakota should remain a place where private property is honored and respected….
Show up. Stand tall. And let’s make sure we send a strong message to our elected officials that in South Dakota, we may be open for business, but we are not for sale.
We’ll see you at the Capitol.
God bless,
Amanda Radke
