We, the undersigned citizens of South Dakota, support The “Data Center Bill of Rights for Citizens” and urge our legislators to protect citizens – not corporate tech giants.

As artificial intelligence and massive data centers expand across our state, we believe South Dakota law must put people first by protecting:

* Private property rights
* Electric ratepayers from rising costs
* Water resources
* Grid reliability for families, farms, and small businesses
* Local control and transparency
* South Dakotans should not subsidize the infrastructure demands of multinational tech corporations at the expense of our communities.

Economic development must never outweigh constitutional protections, natural resources, or the rights of farmers, ranchers, homeowners, and working families.

We call on our elected officials to and ensure that in South Dakota, citizens come first – always.
